glickiN.com is Cincinnati’s newest social experience for finding and connecting with local places, people and promotions. Joe Glick launched glickiN after he discovered an untapped territory of combining social media and search ability to connect businesses to consumers in an online environment.
As Joe was eating half price sushi on a Wednesday night, he began discussing with his friend how residents don’t know about the great offers that occur nightly around town. An entrepreneur since age 12, he began to brainstorm over dinner on how a Web site could connect consumers looking for a specific product with the businesses who offer these deals.
Joe’s initial concept was a Web site called Local Specials On-line. In this first phase, businesses managed their own profile page and identified their specials. Over time, this idea turned into a searchable, interactive fully-developed Web site known as glickiN.com.
Founder Joe Glick is a serial entrepreneur who started his first company at age 12 raising puppies and building dog houses. In 2004, Joe ventured out and bought Triscape Landscaping where he increased the company’s revenue 1900 percent and added six new employees. Joe knows the invaluable experience gained from running his own ventures and will lead glickiN.com down the same path. When he isn’t promoting glickiN, Joe can be found traveling, snowboarding and hitting the golf links on a beautiful day.
